I made some jackets

I made some jackets recently. Here are some process shots. As always, I wish I had spent more time in the textiles department in college.

As usual, the computers are seeing things. All watched over by benevolent shadow puppets.

I look forward to seeing how the paper ages and adapts to the elements.

It's the island of Montreal. Obviously.

The source image is here. Related: the same but different, something new.

There is a special kind of acid-lemon yellow which digital colour spaces produce that is impossible to reproduce in pigment. I have been living this problem since we started doing the prettymaps prints.

I decided to touch things up by hand. I contemplated gluing on googly eyes. I still contemplate gluing on googly eyes.

The paint is already starting to crack. As with the paper elements on the first jacket I look forward to fixing things periodically and seeing what sort of patina these things take on.

Maybe something something something. We'll see.
