In March of 2008, some folks from Flickr were invited to spend an afternoon with folks from NASA. I don't remember the exact reason but if I had to guess we were trying to get them to join the Flickr Commons. I remember the people we spoke seeming pretty cool to the idea but eventually they did. As part of that visit I did a short presentation on some of the work we were doing at the time.
