I make the same point to anyone and everyone who tries to justify not wanting to implement a next id scheme for weblog posts as somehow defining weblog-ness. I can deal with the term "chronological" if you mean by date (as in today), but you will get no sympathy if you want me to buy into the idea that weblogging in inheritently a stream of conciousness endeavour. Shortly after I got involved in this crazy business I realized that I may point to something at seven in the morning and that's what I want to be the first thing a visitor see regardless of anything else I post throughout the day.
