For those who don't already know
today is the anniversary of the shootings at l'École polytechnique in Montreal. Ten years ago Marc Lepine, deliberately targeting women, shot his way in to a engineering class at the University of Montreal. He ordered all the men out of the room and then opened fire on the remaining students. Fourteen women were killed, and thirteen others wounded, before Lepine killed himself.
