The Dallas Observer on Francis Bacon
If you're familiar with his work there isn't much new here, but it's a good excuse to tell my Francis Bacon story. I had the opportunity to see a retrospective of his work at the
Hirshhorn in 198?. I was standing in front of a painting when a couple came and stood behind me. After a few minutes, one looked to the other and said : "What this guy needs is a wife and kids."
